Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia

The Malaysian Parliament still operates in the city, and remains the legislative capital of the country.

Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah is the country's biggest mosque and #2 in Southeast Asia

The main dome of the mosque is the biggest dome in Malaysia

At the base of the Petronas Twin Towers, currently the tallest twin towers in the world

Within Malaysia, the city is commonly referred to as KL.

Malaysian politics have been noted for their allegedly communal nature

Malaysia is a federal constitutional elective monarchy

Putrajaya is the newly created administrative capital for the federal government of Malaysia

It's aim, in part, is to ease growing congestion within Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia has extensive roads that connect all major cities on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia

Malaysia is a multi-religious society, and Islam is the country's official religion

Malaysia is a federation of thirteen states in Southeast Asia.

The country consists of two geographical regions divided by the South China Sea

2008 Trip

Back in KL again!

At the airport

Heading to the hotel

Unlike most other Asian cities, driving is the main mode of commuting in Kuala Lumpur

The Petronas Twin Towers were the world's tallest buildings, before being surpassed by the Taipei 101

We stayed at the Shangra-la Hotel in downtown and sat in with the night club act

In front of our hotel

Visiting one of the cities oldest Mosques

Masjid Jame' Bandaraya Mosque

The Perdana Lake Gardens, a 92 hectare garden near the Malaysian Parliament building

We visited a Butterfly garden

The Masjid Negara is the national mosque of Malaysia

Inside the Masjid Negara

It has a capacity of 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres of beautiful gardens

Liquid Blue in prayer

Its key features are a 73-metre-high minaret and an 18-pointed star concrete main roof

We considered using this as our official band photo

Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound

Originally built in 1965, it is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete

Dataran Merdeka was the usual venue for the annual Hari Merdeka Parade (National Day Parade)

The Union Flag was lowered and the Malayan flag hoisted for the first time on August 31, 1957

Batu Caves is a limestone hill, which has a series of caves and cave temples

The cave is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to god Murugan

It is the focal point of the annual Thaipusam festival

The festival attracts more than 1.5 million pilgrims, one of the largest gatherings in history

The site is also well known for its numerous macaque monkeys

Not many people realise that Batu Caves offers more than 160 climbing routes

The Palace of Culture, founded in September 1999, is the main venue for all types of theatre

Near the The National Art Gallery of Malaysia

Inside the Petronas Twin Towers

We performed for the Malaysian Petroleum Club, who own the towers

MPC gave us an exclusive tour of the Twin Towers the night prior to our show

The towers are still the tallest twin buildings in the world

With the MPC VIP's in the Twin Towers

Tower One is fully occupied by the Petronas Company

Petronas is ranked among Fortune Global 500's largest corporations in the world

Petronas as the 8th most profitable company in the world and also the most profitable in Asia
