The Czech Republic was part of the former Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic & Slovakia)

 

The Czech Republic is famous for ice hockey & the home of many NHL players

 

Prague is legendary for it's hip night life and has overtaken Amsterdam in many circle as the place to be

 

Building untouched by war is what make Prague so unique

 

We kept coming back to this place because the food was so good

 

Prague is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

 

The "Velvet Revolution" of 1989 saw the overthrow of communism in the Czechoslovakia

 

The Velvet Revolution took place in Prague and started with a few small student demonstrations

 

It eventually swelled to 500,000 people in the streets of Prague and is remembered all over the world

 

Prague was one of just a few European cities not severely damaged by WWII

 

Prague is located in the center of the historical area known as Bohemia

 

The Prague Castle is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's largest castle

 

The central square area was the place to be day or night and always busy
