Belarus was part of the former Soviet Union

The restaurant atop our hotel

We stayed at the Belarus hotel and got some snow!

Our show was held at the Beatles Cafe

With Victor Morozevitch, the owner of the Beatles Cafe

Victor introducing Liquid Blue

The Beatle Cafe in Minsk is one of three official Beatles Cafes, approved by the Beatles themselves

The other two official Beatles Cafe's are in Hamberg, Germany and Rio de Janero, Brazil

Many rock stars have visited the cafe, including Robert Plant, Ronnie James Dio, Whitesnake and more

Every seat was filled

Beatles Cafe owner Victor Morozevitch also hosts a Beatles festival annually

Selling CD's

This was the first stop on a six-country tour of Eastern Europe

It turned out to be one of our favorite shows of the tour

Scott with a well-known local recording artist, Gera, who is also pictured at bottom of page

We were invited to return in 2008 with the full band to perform at the Beatles Festival for 15,000

The cafe owner has met with Paul McCartney three times in the past five years

We were asked to sign the wall

Following the show

The visa to enter Belarus was $180; the highest visa fee we've ever encountered

The city is surrounded by forest

We spent four days in this interesting city

The Mariinsky Cathedral, 1700

Minsk was a great surprise

Internet Cafe

It snowed on our 2nd day but not enough to keep us off our skates

Minsk is the only city in Belarus with an underground metro system

Belarus has the worlds highest divorce rate at an astounding 67%

The drink of choice in Belarus is Vodka

Our first trip was as a duo, this trip we had five; maybe the next one will be all seven?

One of the worlds most underrated cities

This guy had attended the festival the day before.

Rama leaps over the eternal flame. Would have been a great night shot

Two days after the big festival, the band performed at the Beatles Cafe, unplugged

It was a Two From Blue show with several guest performers

Gina sang a few songs

And delighted the crowd

To Victor, the festival sponsors, the Beatles Cafe and the city of Minsk; we love you!
